Foot Reflexology
Reflexology is a simple, non-invasive, natural way to optimal health. Firm pressure is applied through the thumbs and fingers to reflex points which are located on all parts of the feet. By applying pressure on these points, all the organs, body structures and glands can be stimulated and encouraged to heal.
Stress is a daily part of everyday life and if we do not manage stress properly, the body’s defense mechanisms break down, making us more susceptible to illnesses. Reflexology induces relaxation and is capable of inducing a state of deep relaxation and tranquility. During a reflexology session, most people will fall asleep and awake refreshed and restored.
Reflexology boosts the immune system and provides preventive healthcare. The goal of reflexology is to achieve homeostasis, strengthening the immune system. Circulation and blood flow to every part of the body is also enhanced. Reflexology detoxifies the body and encourages the toxins to be eliminated by the colon, kidneys and skin.
The benefits of Reflexology include:
- Regenerating
- Oxygenating
- Supports immune defense
- Small molecules easily absorbed by skin
- Affects every cell of body within 20 minutes
- Helps to transport nutrients to cells
- Powerful antioxidants
- Antibacterial, anti-cancerous, antifungal, antiparasitic, anti-infectious
- May detoxify the cells and blood
- Contains sesquiterpenes, to pass the blood-brain barrier

- May raise the frequency of the body restoring health
Reflexology regenerates and opens up energy pathways, revitalizing the body and recharging our batteries. Reflexology calms the mind and can provide clutter control of miscellaneous thoughts. In addition, emotional imbalances are encouraged to rise to the surface and can be balanced in treatment.
Reflexology has its origins in China over five thousand years ago and has been studied worldwide for the last one hundred years. The feet can be divided into transverse or horizontal sections. The feet precisely mirror the body. The right foot corresponds to the right hand side of the body while the left foot reflects the left side of the body. Acupuncture meridian theory is also mirrored at the tips of the toe as well as the base of the foot.
Essential oils are usually incorporated into the reflexology treatment.
