The Acuscope/Myopulse equipment is designed to effectively relieve pain from most chronic and acute neuromuscular disorders. This modality is excellent for sports injuries, auto accidents, chronic back pain and joint problems. The Electro-Acuscope is the first component of this two-part system. This instrument acts upon subcutaneous tissues to reduce pain and inflammation. It also improves blood flow and circulatory impaired tissues. The second component is the Electro-Myopulse which is designed to treat connected tissue associated primarily with muscle. This state of the art system directs precisely dosed energy to areas of bio-resistance with real-time analysis and feedback to achieve homeostasis through transcutaneous stimulation.
Indications for no-needle acupuncture include the following:
- Athletic injuries
- Back pain
- Carpal tunnel
- Limited ROM (range of motion)
- Pain management
- Scar pain
Because of its profound effects on tissue repair the Electro-Acuscope/Myopulse system can be applied successfully to a broad range of clinical conditions. An accelerated tissue repair is beneficial in a vast array of clinical presentations. This modality treatment is corrective and does not block the nerve signal. In general the electro current is generally below the patients sensation threshold so that tingling and burning sensations do not occur. Impedance monitoring and waveform adjustments are the means through which stimulation is constantly modified to induce optimum tissue repair.
Patient satisfaction involves several factors. First, the treatments are not only painless but generally imperceptible. Second, the patient is not left alone in the room as with other modalities. Third, the secondary effect of pain control often lasts for an extended period after treatment. Many world class athletes and famous Hollywood stuntmen use this modality.
